Data Removal

At Hello8, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. If you would like to request the removal of your personal data from our systems, you can do so using the methods described below.

Your Right to Data Deletion

Under the GDPR and other applicable data protection laws, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. This includes:

• Account information (name, email address, username)
• Video and audio content you have uploaded
• Transcriptions and translations generated from your content
• Payment and billing information
• Usage data and activity logs

How to Request Data Removal

Option 1: Delete Your Account

Write to privacy@hello8.ai from the e-mail address of your Hello8 account and ask for its deletion. We delete the account, its media and all associated content within 30 days. Self-service deletion from the account settings is not available yet.

Option 2: Submit a Data Subject Access Request

If you prefer, you can submit a formal data removal request through our Data Subject Access Request form. We will process your request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Option 3: Contact Us Directly

You can also email us directly at privacy@hello8.ai with your data removal request. Please include the email address associated with your Hello8 account.

What Happens After Your Request

• We will verify your identity to ensure the security of your data.
• Your request will be processed within 30 days (or within the timeframe required by applicable law).
• You will receive a confirmation once your data has been deleted.
• Some data may be retained where required by law (e.g., tax records, fraud prevention) or in anonymized form.

Important Notes

• Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
• Deleting your data will terminate your access to Hello8 services.
• Content that has been exported or shared with third parties cannot be recalled by Hello8.
• Deleted data leaves our backups within 70 days (database backups) and 30 days (file storage).
